Denim evolution
The main steps in Legler denim evolution

‘70’s California: traditional 3/1 oe/oe regular yarn, 14 3/4 oz, basic construction.

1989 Bravo: warp yarn becomes slightly irregular, uneven and the construction finer.

1991 Old: this is the introduction of the ring yarn into Legler denim. Warp and weft are slubby and the effect is that of

an authentic denim stressed by a rough construction.

1991 Davidson HD: tight construction fabric, clean look. Still loved by many customers, it is a product that identifies Legler’s quality.

1992 Alcatraz:
trends turns to a cleaner look. The warp is ring uneven and the weft is oe. Construction returns finer.

1994 Cayenne HD: a big step forward in the denim area. Cayenne is the leader of a group of streaky denim in Legler range.

1996 Vintage: following the main trends, denim returns to cross-hatch ring/ring look. The effect is not too uneven.

1999 Dynamic & Day: the cross hatch look is always more important and developments are focused on the yarn. Dynamic and Day introduce a new

concept of yarn: a naturally uneven look, produced with the latest spinning technology. The fabric gets a new surface: more natural and authentic!

2000 FUTURE
: Big trends for new performing yarns: Legler develops many fabrics with the use of an innovative compact yarn. Creation of a group of fabrics called "Future".

2000-01
IRELAND: Legler develops several linen fabrics such as Irish, Ireland and Bamboo.

2001 929+STRONG: 929, a new green cast indigo is created. Big interest for polyester warp denim like Strong.

2001-2002 KARMA
: a brand new group of bicolor denims is created. The generation of Karma, Nirvana, Yoga and Diwali starts here.

2002 DENIM CORDURA: Big trends for techno-functional fabrics. Legler develops several fabrics with Cordura: a high tensile strength yarn.

2003 MURALES: Use of many pigment and resin coatings and indigo overdyeings on denim.

2004 CANOVA: Legler creates a brand new group of denims with negative and inverted slubs.
